Convergence brings together the powerful photographic voices of five local and international artists—students of Arise Art Space’s Photography class—whose works intersect at the crossroads of identity, observation, and social inquiry. Though diverse in theme and style, each image reflects a shared curiosity about the world and how we see one another. Through intimate portraits, urban landscapes, and conceptual frames, the exhibition explores the gaze as both a tool of connection and critique. Convergence invites viewers to consider how visual narratives shape our understanding of society and the self.
Convergence는 어라이즈에서 진행한 사진 수업을 수강한 다섯 명의 국내외 작가들이 참여하는 전시로, 정체성과 관찰, 사회적 탐구가 교차하는 지점을 함께 들여다봅니다. 각기 다른 주제와 스타일을 지닌 작품들이지만, 모두가 세상을 바라보는 방식과 서로를 인식하는 시선에 대한 공통된 호기심을 담고 있습니다. 친밀한 인물 사진, 도시 풍경, 개념적 이미지 등을 통해 ‘시선’이 연결의 도구이자 비판의 매개체가 되는 방식을 탐색합니다. 이 전시를 통해 시각적 서사가 사회와 자아에 대한 이해를 어떻게 형성하는지 함께 생각해 볼 수 있기를 바랍니다.
